Research Networks

Our research networks and coalitions foster interdisciplinary scholarly activities. Composed of faculty from the UNCG community whose scholarship and teaching reflect a core theme, these networks capitalize on and leverage the University’s strengths by coordinating and facilitating collaborations, enhancing research and teaching, and fostering opportunities for collaboration, support, mentorship and information transfer, interdisciplinary research, and scholarly activities.

College of Arts & Sciences Office of Research

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Office of Research help faculty develop external funding proposals that meet internal and external guidelines, navigate the Cayuse proposal management system, and access support for grant administration.

They provide limited funding for: research-related travel, peer review of draft proposals, and pilot research to strengthen proposals.

They conduct workshops and training for faculty and provide individual consultation.

Office of Research & Engagement PI Toolkit
The Office of Research and Engagement PI Toolkit offers support for preparing and submitting grant proposals and budgets, support for managing a funded project and ending a project, and insight into compliance concerns

Office of Sponsored Programs
The Office of Sponsored Programs partners with faculty and staff to provide the highest quality research administration at all stages of sponsored projects by promoting electronic research administration, responsible stewardship of funds, and sound management practices. They can help you identify sources of funding; help coordinate proposal and budget preparation and submission and supports post-award activities in collaboration with the Office of Contracts and Grants

Office of Research Integrity & Compliance
The Office of Research Integrity & Compliance offers the resources you need to ethically navigate issues related to conflict of interest, human and animal subjects, biosafety, federal and state regulations, external professional activities for pay, export control, and more. Their personnel collaborate with you to make compliance as straightforward and accessible as possible.

Provost Policy on Research Assignments
The Provost Policy on Research Assignments site offers guidelines and forms for applying for a research leave. More specific considerations will be handled at the Unit level

Funding Administered by ORE
This site includes internal grants and awards, scholars travel program, subsidies for publication, media development & exhibitions, and research excellence awards.

Contract & Grant Accounting
Partners with PIs, faculty, and staff to provide comprehensive post-award oversight and guidance to ensure external funds are utilized in a manner consistent with guidelines. This site includes links to forms necessary for grant accounting
